Google thinks I’m in Washinton, DC but I’m not. Good morning, over the last week or so I’ve noticed all of my search results and even my map location on my laptop are for Washinton D.C when in reality I am in Hamilton, New Zealand. I have tried going to google.co.nz I have also tried changing my region, my language, defult location, VPN

Click on the Country or region drop-down menu and select the correct country you are living in. Also, change the Regional format.

Google thinks I’m in Washington DC when connected to WiFi. – Google Maps Community The weather cards that Google Now displays show my current city, so it obviously knows where I am. However, if I ask Google Now any questions about the weather without a specific location, it will default to Washington DC. Anyone know how to fix this? Jelly Bean 4.1.1 on Galaxy Nexus

The weather cards that Google Now displays show my current city, so it obviously knows where I am. However, if I ask Google Now any questions about the weather without a specific location, it will default to Washington DC. Anyone know how to fix this? Jelly Bean 4.1.1 on Galaxy Nexus Later While sitting in the house . I asked Google. “What is my current location ” it said “Charlotte NC”. That’s 3 hours away. Yet GPS seems to be working perfectly. The only thing I can think of is my carriers servers are in NC and my internet servers are in NC. Can anyone else confirm.

I’m fairly certain most if not all web sites that have US and UK sites also correctly geo locate me.
